Koulibaly setting move to Manchester United. 🤡
For over a year, the defender has been linking up with the Premier League side, with repeated reports in the
Italian media, apparently supported by Napoli, that last summer € 100 m was offered and refused by Aurelio De Laurentiis.
For a long time, the attitude was that United provided that amount, regardless of
whether it's valid or not, and any interested club would have to equal it amount.
That seemed entirely unlikely considering that Koulibaly had not had his best
season, and he wouldn't have a great sell-on value at age 29.
Gazzetta, Sport estimates that after investing 180 million euros between January and July, Napoli now
wants to put in 150 million euros before the gap closes, which is a major challenge.
That's why Koulibaly is being driven back to Manchester United, and the
Premier League club has shown willingness to pay the defender € 70 million.
If no other clubs join, and no 'new talks' take place, then Koulibaly can 'eventually transfer
to England' for €70m, because despite Napoli's hunger for cash, such an sum 'cannot be refused.'
There is a possibility that the name of Manchester United will be used to spread attention from elsewhere, but
signing the player for € 70 million, or maybe even less, sounds much more enticing than € 100 million
Haha, good
