Fasola Azeez, P.K.A Naira Marley has been convicted
of four charges, NAN reports.
Those are all violations of interstate travel ban, non-use of mask,
breaking social distancing order and holding a concert despite COVID-19 restriction order.
Naira Marley had N200,000 fined.
After the musician pleaded guilty, the Judge, Idayat Akanni, set the fin.
His Lawyer, Mohammed Yunusa, said his client had been led to believe that all the government permission had been acquired from the concert organizing committee.
Udeme Umana, the chief state counsel, revealed that the judge mandated Naira Marley to write in a national daily a public apology to the national govt.
The concert took place on 13
June at the Jabi Lake Mall.
