On Friday, the Federal Government ordered the total reopening of schools

for academic activities at all levels nationwide from 12 October 2020 onwards.

Minister of education Malam Adamu Adamu, who announced this at a news conference in Abuja, said

the decision had been reached after due consultation with stakeholders and the COVID-19 Presidential Task Force.

In March 2020, after the outbreak of the COVID-19

pandemic, the federal government ordered the closing of schools nationwide.

Adamu said with the degree of preparations placed in place to monitor the infection curve for ad flattening,

the government concluded that the earlier decision was checked to enable schools to be reopened at all levels. .
